This is correct. I have similar experiences except I seem to "get got" a lot easier. I would add, try to stay busy. Less time to think bad thoughts or doomscroll. Probably should take my own advice given the situation.
When I was a kid my mother had us huddle together every morning before school to say the St. Michael prayer, and a few other prayers I don't remember. I have recently started saying the St. Michael prayer again, every day, but in Latin because it's more fun. Also because I heard from an exorcist that Latin works best against demons.
Also you asked on Twitter about fasting. As an experienced multi-day total faster I can say that ketosis has a calming effect that comes on gradually. Mental acuity goes up, and I believe several of the body's systems go to sleep, so to speak
Another really helpful reflection. Thank you, Yoshi. I've sometimes had nightmares where I've been confronted by an evil presence. I try to yell out "JESUS!" in the dream, though it felt like a powerful force was preventing me from saying His name. It strikes me now that maybe praying out loud is itself a powerful weapon to use against the enemy. Anyway, thank you for the many useful thoughts articulated here. I'm sure I will return to this post again.
Oh yes. This is a great observation. Many many many people report that when they are feeling demonically attacked (or, even experiencing an alien abduction) that merely verbalizing the name of Jesus helps dispel the entities. That said, it also seems as though any verbalization at all can be helpful. Breaking the *silence* is crucial.
This is very relatable. I have experienced sleep paralysis, and the feeling of something evil in the room. I couldn't say Jesus out loud, or move. I just had to say it over and over in my head, until my body suddenly wakes up, and I yell JESUS CHRIST! It is a fairly scary experience.

I'm thinking now how screens don't work very well in the light, particularly natural light from the sun. I wonder fi there's a correlation there.
