Thank you! I feel fortunate that I recognized this fairly young: I want, if possible, to be one of the quiet people who keep the world going (my corner of it). Fame doesn’t mean much and is probably better avoided.

"Do everything as unto the Lord" is a pretty good standard. Not only does it concern with the quality of our work but also the work we choose to do.

This touched home for me. I was a family doc for over 30 years , and felt I was good at what I did. Not because I was smart, but because I tried to look at everyone as equal; singular, but still the same . If you live long enough, you know that one small step here or there changes your life path. It doesn’t make you better or smarter than others, just blessed if you have a fulfilling life’s work. Determination ,attitude , and luck play the biggest parts. All are within your grasp.

Your blog may not be super popular, but it has been hands down one of the most impactful and positive influences in my life, specially during a time when I was transitioning out of a cult I had been in for two decades and had to rebuild my entire world view. Seriously credit you with helping me get to a very healthy and happy place in my life mentally and spiritually, so I will never stop supporting your work. Wouldn’t surprise me if this blog alone earned you a comfy place up there with the Lord. At least I know I’ll be praying for that.

Excellent message! This is the line of thinking that got me to start writing. It’s the only creative thing I’ve ever felt come naturally to me, so I figured I would try to develop it.
