Thank you for your informative and thought-provoking writing. You have a gift!

Growing up in the 1960's I was sure we were on our way to a 'Star Trek' future. Or at least 'The Jetsons'. Now I'm starting to think we got 'The Invaders'.

Yes, false promises of progress. All is not so bad though, YouTube is a lot of fun.

I agree. I enjoy many marvelous things that are products of our modern tech age. I love my Garmin automotive GPS . I greatly enjoy hiking here in So. Cal with the many hiking groups I connect with thru meetup. My wife recently had both lenses in her eyes replaced with ocular implants enabling her to be without the glasses she's needed since childhood. I could go on....

Y’all might want to see the new film coming out, Nefarious. They say that it is very well written and produced, and at least one authentic Catholic exorcist has commented that it is too similar to his real life experience.

Oh, and by the way, thanks to the Doc for coming out with the podcast version of these blogs. Y’all should support him and she’ll out the $50 or so and become paying contributors (and Yoshi didn’t tell me to say that, LOL!)

I've often thought even if its not literal, the lizard people idea is a very good metaphor.

The first time I saw David Icke it was on youtube back when he was allowed there. I found a lot of things he said intriguing but then he tried to lump Jesus in with the demonic entities so I pushed back on him pretty hard. But during the covid thing he hilariously did come across as the most sane person in the media.

He's definitely got a few screws loose. But, my point is, so does everybody, and he's provided some unique ways of thinking about the world that few others have.

Absolutely. He helped me learn that actually. Just took a while. When I first ran into his stuff it was just after "waking up" and it was sort of like jumping into the deep end of the pool by accident.

Curious about this comment:"because a homosexual lifestyle is a barrier to salvation. Not an impassable barrier, but a barrier." It seemed far from left field and also out of place.

Also, would wonder why, if, in the eyes of God, sin is sin, this particular "sin" gets the privilege of being pointed out along with satanists and child abusers?

Call me crazy (“OK, you’re crazy”) but to me, most people in the professional managerial class actually do have a kind of pinched, bloodless, reptilian look. The 3 Ivy league presidents recently in the news are some examples. So are most of the cabinet in the current Canadian government. So are many C-level executives in large corporations.

I will admit that there could be a lot of subjective bias in my view of it, but that’s how I see it.

Initial thought: this is absolutely BONKERS but in the best way.

I've always kept an arms-distance between myself and these conspiracy theories but have always searched for the glimmer of truth they actually possess. I want to be able to see them because there is always something "real" somewhere in the muck and mire.

Anyway, thanks again for being refreshingly weird.

Thanks for reading Derek. That's the purpose of this place, as the old by-line we used to use went: "Direct your attention to a higher dimension."

Can you post a guide on how to beat 'demons' like this?

Consistent prayer and, if necessary, fasting is the only way I know.

To add onto Yoshi's comment, if you have friends/family that are also believers having them pray with you can help. And if its a specific place like your home that you feel is being invaded by a dark spirit you can try and pray for cleansing.
