great piece. reminds me of Fauci recently saying, “did I close the schools down? surely not”…as my fellow Texan, Blind Willie Johnson sang almost a century ago, “you can hide from the Devil, but you can’t hide from God…”

Thank you, remarkably good. It made me think of Solomon, who despite his wisdom, ended up worshipping other gods along side of Yahweh. I have a saying, a paraphrase of Luther - “reason and logic are whores they will serve any master to any end”

Jesus said, "You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

How does this statement by Jesus, that the devil is a liar, square with what you say, that the devil doesn't lie?

If I say “Obama never killed anyone with a drone strike.” is that true or a lie?

When Saul said to Samuel, “Blessed be you to the Lord. I have performed the commandment of the Lord,” was that true or a lie?

Partial truth, given with intent to decieve, is, in my opinion, a lie.

Great stuff! But it's pretty spicy to see 'I am God' as blasphemy. In Hinduism, God is within you, and some sects go as far as saying you are literally God. And back in Christianity, God did lament that we 'are as gods' after eating of the fruit. But there is definitely an evil way to interpret 'I am God' and that is by taking the vagaries of one's ego as divine.

Maybe this sounds like devil-speak to you, but the devil's aim is ultimately to get people to hurt each other, the manifestation of un-love, and history shows that the view that Christianity is the only truth lends itself quite easily to murder and mayhem. Not sure if you're arguing for that, as you did bring up Yggdrasil, but it could be taken that way.

If angels are dragons do you imagine some of their fallen offspring maybe became dinosaurs...? I've been trying to figure out where all the dragon stuff goes. Its another mythical being that exists in most cultures around the world since ancient times, just like the giants. Do you think the "wheels in the sky that keep on turning" could be dragons as well? In Western mythology dragons are usually evil, but in Eastern mythology they are usually good. Lots to ponder.

Great piece. Obvious why all(sensible) people have an immediate fear of snakes they encounter.

Very unrelated – would you watch the 'National Treasure' movie and review it please? There's a lot of 'they have to tell you' dialogue in there that you would enjoy.
