Might try to commit Psalms to memory and recite them out loud. Psalms 1, 103, 51, 37 are good ones. Spiritual sustenance!

I personally have had almost exactly the same experience over the past 2 or 3 years, and I suspect many others have too. The mass psychosis of Covid was I think a manifestation of this inner confusion.

I'm voluntarily going into retirement after 44 years in various engineering positions. I don't have a clear idea of what comes next, just a vague feeling that I'm supposed to 'wait for instructions'. I do plan to spend more time in the local mountains (so Cal) because I feel closer to God there.

Perhaps you are in the same boat. Relax and wait for instructions.

I always enjoy your posts explaining 'the backstory' behind the Bible. Meanings we miss because we don't understand the context the passages were written in. Hope to see more of that.

You are in my thoughts and my good wishes.

Amor Vincit Omnia, yet as Shakespeare said “the course of true love never did run smooth” May the Holy Spirit be for you a felt visceral from the gut reality. Jesus said it would flow from that region, the Greek word is also translated womb.

Bless your beautiful heart brother.

The closer you get, the more it burns. You are being shaped to withstand His Light.

Thank all of it!

You are one of the few that we can access for words of encouragement, wisdom, and guidance as we move towards Love in Him. Remember He speaks through you and we need to hear what is being written by you.

Like the Saints, may nothing be left of you but His shining Light moving through your gentle heart.

I will light a candle for you and pray.

May the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ hold you tenderly as you bravely keep walking in the desert.

In Him, E

"Wandering in the desert" is perfect description. During Covid I felt compelled to make a big move and I left behind my friends and family. I know I'm where I am supposed to be, but its still tough. I finally found a church but still have no real friends since moving. If you haven't read about him, I encourage you to read about St Patrick. That really helped me during the times of loneliness. I read "How the Irish Saved Civilization" which is a pretty short easy read.

Anyways thanks for the update. I will try and add you to my prayers.

Will continue to pray for you Sumo. Keep the faith! You are a force for good…and many of the things you have said have opened my eyes. Confusion may surround you but God will not abandon you. Continue to seek Him.
