True Identities and Satan's Arena

Disclaimer:

The following belief system has holes in it. I’m not dumb enough to be unable to anticipate counter arguments, examples, and objections, and, moreover, I know that people can and will throw such at me strongly, because what I’m saying goes against many deeply held beliefs, fears, and insecurities. Nonetheless it is a line of thought, a religious belief, a philosophical system, that I have been pursuing actively for many years now, incarnating it and living it out as best I can and… I must tell you that I find it more true than not. The trajectory that this line of thinking has set me on is wholly positive and, while as I noted there are wrinkles and inconsistencies in it, I have found that, with time, most of those wrinkles smooth out to nothing. What I’m saying here isn’t True, with a capitol “T”, no. It is I believe however “true enough” to move you somewhere very positive and very healthy if you are able to likewise adopt it.

It has for me. May God guide you in your own way.

There is no weapon against the moral life.

This is true.

You can, right now, decide to live well, honestly, nobly, freely, alone or with a spouse and loving family… and absolutely no one can stop you. Not the Republicans. Not the Democrats. Not the President, not Congress, not “The Media”, not White Nationalists, not Islamic Extremists, not Valdimir Putin, not Antifa, not The Proud Boys, not nobody.

That’s the truth.

And very few people want to hear it.

Because what you can’t do, the way you can’t live and still be immune to all the above straw and boogey men, is strive for Power. For Money. For Worldly Importance. For Clout. If you do that, you are entering “their” domain. The domain of Satan. The domain of dog-eat-dog and kill or be killed. In that arena, the Republicans can stop you. So can the Democrats. So can the President. They can pass laws that limit your ability to compete in the market, they can tax you to within an inch of your life, they can tank your holdings in the stock market or prevent you from passing on those holdings to your kids. That’s all true.

But tell me…
