Epstein didn’t kill himself.
Pretty obvious I know. And yet what this reveals about the nature of our world, the government and the people in it, has largely be ignored by almost everybody. There was a guy (and a gal) who had a temple on an island where prominent businessmen and world leaders, came to rape kids who had been sex trafficked there. This was, apparently, used for blackmail, to keep the politicians in line. Whose line? I don’t know, but it’s probably something that should be talked about a little more.
And yet, it isn’t. Why?
I’m a conspiracy theorist. By which I mean that I think that sometimes powerful people conspire to do bad things. Like, for example, starting a war in Iraq under false pretenses of “Weapons of Mass Destruction”. Or banks colluding with politicians to get filthy rich on bad mortgages they all knew would collapse sooner or later (and which did in 2008). Or, more recently, having a rape room on an island.
What all these things reveal is that some people in positions of power in this world are very, very, bad people. They’re rapists and thieves and murderers and drug dealers. They start wars for money. To make Raytheon’s stock price go up or to make sure Exxon has steady access to cheap oil. Afghanistan grows 82% of the world’s opium. Could that have influenced why we wanted to be there? They let billionaires get away with paying no taxes while allowing Wall Street to manipulate the markets to keep wealth from the hands of the little guy. They literally rape underage sex trafficking victims on islands in the Caribbean.
They’re bad.
And yet… people still trust them. They’re still listened to and followed. Even though all the above is now rather obvious and some of it openly admitted. People still think their votes matter. How silly. Everyone is under the delusion that somehow “their side” is going to fix it and all the problems are with “the other guys.” I’ve got news for you though. There are photos of both Trump and Clinton with Epstein. George W and Obama both drone bombed the Middle East. At the end of the day, war and finance are always bipartisan. Nobody in Washington cares about you.
It can be frustrating. People in the Conspiracy Theory Scene, if there is such a thing, often fall into despair over it. They have documents and reports and official papers more or less proving many of their claims and yet people just laugh and lump them in with those who think Hillary Clinton is really a reptilian wearing a skin suit. In short, people act like sheep. No matter how much evidence you show them, they just follow the herd.
That’s okay. Love them anyway.
Countries are like bodies. There’s a reason we speak of the “body politic” and call a prime minister or president the “head of state.” We speak of “arms” of the government, or perhaps branches, if we’re more into tree metaphors. That’s because everything is fractal. This is the truth of the universe. Your body is made up of many parts and you yourself are a part of a larger whole. A larger “body.” Maybe several. The body politic. A Student Body. Perhaps the Body of Christ. And bodies always have many parts. They have heads, which are usually rather obvious, but also arms and mouthpieces and brains. The “brains” of the body politic of the U.S.A are our universities. The mouthpieces are media and news organizations, like the New York Times. But they also have other parts. Parts less visible. They have waste removal systems just like a colon or a urethra. We call these folks garbage men. They also have nerve endings too. Parts that sound the alarm when something is wrong and the body is in pain. I think that’s the role conspiracy theorists play. We’re nerve endings, we shout when something is wrong.
Nobody likes a nerve in pain. They get mad at them. When people throw out their back they often curse and scream. They get mad at the pain and wish the nerves causing it would just shut up. Indeed, they often try to drug those nerves for just that purpose.
But the nerves signaling pain aren’t themselves doing anything wrong. They’re letting you know there’s a problem. One that urgently needs to be addressed. Like trying to quiet the nerve telling you you have a slipped disc by drugging it with Advil, the body politic likes to try and quiet the nerves shouting that actual sex criminals and murderers are in the halls of power. They like to censor you, or ignore you, or to pretend that you’re really a symptom of something else. But the nerve endings can’t be quite because they love the body they’re attached to and don’t want it to be injured further. “Something is very wrong!” Shout the nerves. “Please stop moving around so much until we figure this out!”
So, we nerve endings, we conspiracy theorist, we often get mad or frustrated with the rest of the body which doesn’t listen. Those who just like to keep their head down and grind, going along to get along, watching football on the weekends after a hard week’s work. We tend to call them “sheep” or “sheeple” and look at them with derision because they seem so much to just not care.
This is wrong. One of the tests of the soul is to avoid seeing yourself as above others or putting others down. The sheep aren’t bad. Do you not like wool? Most of the mass of the body politic, like most of the mass of your own body, is just devoted to work. Muscle and bone. Get the job done. Move what needs to be moved. That’s what it’s for. That’s what they’re for. Most people are just built mentally and physically to go to work and come home and have a beer, and that’s not bad. Those people are the ones that make society move along. They sit behind the desk at the bank or drive the trucks or swing the hammers. They aren’t the part of the body devoted to detecting problems. They’re not “sheep”, they’re just doing their job.
If you’re one of the ones who, like me, picks up on societal problems easily, then you’re also a nerve ending. Congrats. Now you know your role. It can be a difficult life but we have fun podcasts and there’s always someone willing to sell you freeze dried food or colloidal silver, so that’s something.
You have to do what you were made to do, and you’re a nerve ending, you can’t help but sound the alarm.
Others have to do what they were made to do, and you shouldn’t look down on them for being the workhorses of the body who don’t think too much. My bicep doesn’t think too much either but that doesn’t make it any less vital to my well being. We’d be in quite the pickle without the garbage men. Avoid always the temptation to look down on others for not seeing the same truths you see. Most of the time, they just can’t. They weren’t made to do so.
Wow Yoshi, we're two peas in a pod. Great writing and great thinking. Thank you for doing the hard work of organizing my thoughts so nicely :)
What I need to remember when the despair sinks in.
